Straight answers don't come easy here. Not without some measure of force. I do think, however, Zelien's forces are independent of COMPASS's control. They're a means to the experiment- torturing us while COMPASS observes and pays them to pace themselves. Otherwise, I've no doubt we'd be dead by now.
