Are we certain it is a barrier spell? From those results I would question if there were a physical train at all. Perhaps only a symbolic one to facilitate the concept of 'travel.'

I'm sorry to have missed it now, I am very curious. What will be the next step?

It's the Void, itself, apparently, which has served as some sort of barrier before. But whether or not the train is real... Well. That, in itself, is step two.

We plan to stop it before the Void can kick in.

Their ability to manipulate the experienced reality is quite impressive.

I do not think I create a picture quite so detailed on my own. Nor one which housed so many.

Indeed. I've never seen anyone quite as adept at magic as COMPASS appears to be.

But I don't believe that it's a talent that lacks weaknesses.

There is no power lacking in weakness. But they have done well to conceal it.

I had hoped to consult the local convocations, but have not found any information on what link COMPASS may have with the magics that ooze from Zelien itself and the sea to the east.

Straight answers don't come easy here. Not without some measure of force. I do think, however, Zelien's forces are independent of COMPASS's control. They're a means to the experiment- torturing us while COMPASS observes and pays them to pace themselves. Otherwise, I've no doubt we'd be dead by now.

Yes, I do imagine so. It is interesting to imagine what they could do with all of our blood to work with.
